💡 Regla Gramatical

Present Simple en inglés

1. Forma básica

El present simple usa la forma base del verbo (infinitivo sin “to”).

  • I / you / we / they: usan la forma base → work, play, study
  • he / she / it: añaden -s o -es → works, plays, studies

2. Formas afirmativas

2.1. Sin -s / -es

  • I work from home. (Trabajo desde casa.)
  • You play soccer. (Juegas al fútbol.)
  • We live in New York. (Vivimos en Nueva York.)
  • They study English. (Estudian inglés.)

2.2. Con -s / -es (tercera persona del singular)

Para he / she / it:

  • La mayoría de verbos: añadir -s → work → works: She works in a hospital.
  • Verbos que terminan en -ch, -sh, -ss, -x, -o: añadir -es → watch → watches, go → goes.
  • Verbos que terminan en consonante + y: cambiar y → ies → study → studies.

2.3. Formas irregulares en tercera persona

  • have → has: He has a new car.
  • do → does: She does her homework every day.
  • go → goes: It goes very fast.

3. Auxiliares “do / does”

Usamos do y does como auxiliares en preguntas y oraciones negativas.
